Field trip to Morocco

Still small Tetraclinis trees right before planting them

I accompanied Jordi Cortina, Elysa Silva, Mchich Derak, and Lahcen Taiqui to a restoration mission to North Morocco. We spent some days there, talked to different stakeholders and did a participatory planting event to restore an area that is particular threatened to erode. We aimed at planting up to 500 Tetraclinis trees together with students, local farmers and more. Learning more about how to integrate science with social aspects was an interesting experience for me.
